Safety margin: definition
The safety margin is a zone inside the cut line, usually 3–5 mm, where texts and logos are not placed, because the cut may shift.

More about the term
Bleed lies outside the cut line, the safety margin inside it. On a banner with eyelets the margin protects text from being pierced. In the kreatorproduktow.pl designer the shop sets the margin in the template, and the buyer sees it as a green line that is not part of the file.
Frequently asked questions

Bleed is cut off; the margin is part of the product, but too close to the edge for important content.
What margin on a business card?
