How to read the result
Above 300 DPI a close-up print will be sharp. Between 150 and 300 DPI is usually enough for posters viewed from a metre. Below 150 DPI pixels show up close, but on a banner viewed from a few metres 100 DPI is fine. More: print resolution.
Frequently asked questions
Does the calculator send my data anywhere?
No, everything is calculated in the browser.
Why does the result differ by 1 px from other tables?
Because of rounding. The calculator rounds pixels to the nearest whole number.
Should I include bleed?
Yes, when calculating a print file. Add bleed on both sides or use the bleed calculator.
