Flag and feather flag designer in the product’s shape
A sail or teardrop feather flag is hard to design without a template. The designer shows the customer the flag outline and a safe margin along the shape, and the print file is cut to the shape with an allowance for hemming.

Shape from a mask
In the Winder / shape template you upload a mask: the flag shape filled with pure black, pure white or left transparent. The designer shows the customer this shape as the print area. The print file contains only the shape, enlarged by an allowance, e.g. 15 mm for hemming. The safe margin runs along the shape.
Several flag types in one product
When the customer picks a flag type in the shop (sail, teardrop, rectangle), enable a different shape per option and upload a mask for each. The designer changes the shape when the option is chosen.
Pole sleeve
A side margin marks a strip at a chosen edge, e.g. a sleeve on the left. In the designer the strip is hatched in orange with a label, so the customer does not put text there. The strip can be just a marking or extra material in the file.
Frequently asked questions
What mask should I prepare?
An image of the product where the flag shape is filled with 100% black on a white background (JPG is fine) or transparent in PNG. Only pure black or pure white counts. Leave a margin in the mask at least as wide as the allowance.
Can a flag be printed on both sides?
Yes, using template sides: front and back, each with the same shape.
How does the customer see where the pole goes?
Through the side margin: a hatched strip with a label, e.g. “Sleeve”. The description also appears in the line legend.
