Poster designer
Poster designer: from the customer’s photo to a 300 DPI file
A poster from a customer’s photo is the most common source of blurry prints. The designer calculates what resolution the photo will have in print and warns the customer before ordering. If the customer has no photo, they can generate an image from a description.

How many DPI a photo has on a poster
A 4000 × 3000 px phone photo on a 50 × 70 cm poster gives about 145 DPI in print. That is enough for a poster viewed from a metre away. The same photo at 100 × 140 cm gives about 73 DPI and the pixels will show. The designer calculates this and warns the customer. In the template you set the minimum DPI and decide whether to block saving below it.
An image from a description
In the “AI generator” tab the buyer describes the image in words and picks a style: photo, illustration, watercolour, flat graphic or 3D render. The image is created in the poster’s proportions. You enable the generator in the panel on your own OpenAI or Google key and set a daily limit.
Frequently asked questions
How is the poster designer different from the banner designer?
It is the same designer. The template differs: posters usually have formats from a list and 300 DPI print, banners a size typed by the customer and 150 DPI. Banners are described on the banner designer page.
Can the customer order a poster in a custom size?
Yes, when you choose “The customer enters the size” in the template. The designer opens at the size entered in the shop.
Who pays for AI image generation?
The shop, directly to the AI provider (OpenAI or Google), with no markup from us. A daily limit protects against abuse.
